On the streets for MLK day Parade.

On Saturday Jan 18th we were in the mix at the Martin Luther King day parade in downtown Orlando. Thousands showed up in honor of Dr. King and we were there to be sure the hope of the gospel was being shared. To quote Dr. King, Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter”, and we were determined not to stay silent about the incomparable riches we have discovered in Christ. We were able to distribute hundreds of pieces of literature, engage in conversations with many about the Lord and pray with those who needed it.

We encountered many who had a form of Godliness but deny the power. There were those who had grown up in church there whole life but were not 100% committed; we encouraged them to really get to know God our father in a personal way through Jesus Christ. We also prayed with those who were humble enough to receive it and wanted change in their life. But we were not the only ones on a spiritual mission. The Church of  Scientology was on the scene distributing their booklets and DVD’s, and the Nation of Islam was in recruiting mode. If the church does not stand up and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ we will certainly lose our generation to false Gods. As for us, we will go, for Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all. (1 corinth 5:14)

“The first question which the priest and the Levite asked was: “If I stop to help this man, what will happen to me?” But… the good Samaritan reversed the question: “If I do not stop to help this man, what will happen to him?” – Martin Luther King Jr.
